The government has kept the rate of export incentives or cash assistance unchanged in 43 sectors to encourage the country's export trade in the 2026-27 fiscal year. Bangladesh Bank issued a notification in this regard on Sunday (July 5, 2026).

It said that cash incentives will be provided at a rate of 30.00 percent to 10 percent for 43 specified export products. The product-based rate remains unchanged as in the previous fiscal year, which reflects policy continuity. The notification said that the unchanged incentive rate will be applicable to products exported between July 1, 2026 and June 30, 2027. The notification said that this incentive will be provided subject to repatriation of export earnings to the country within the specified period and fulfillment of existing foreign exchange rules and necessary documents.

According to the list attached to the notification, alternative cash assistance of 1.50 percent has been maintained for the export-oriented domestic textile sector and additional special assistance of 0.50 percent for the textile sector in the Eurozone. Additional facilities of 3 percent will be available for small and medium enterprises in the ready-made garment sector and 2 percent assistance for expansion of new products or new markets (textile sector). In addition, special cash assistance of 0.30 percent will be provided to the ready-made garment sector.

It has been said that the government's special support continues in the agriculture and jute sector. 10 percent incentive has been maintained for the export of agricultural products and processed agricultural products and potato exports. 10 percent support has been ensured for diversified jute products, 10 percent for the export of leather products and 6 percent for handicraft products.

It has also been said that among technology and other emerging sectors, 6 percent incentive has been kept for software and IT enabled services (ITES) exports and 2.5 percent for freelancers. 6 percent cash assistance will be provided to the pharmaceutical or pharma sector and 5 percent to the export of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). The notification said that the rates of 6 percent and 8 percent for ship exports and furniture exports, respectively, remain unchanged.

The instructions state that applications for export incentives should be properly audited by an audit firm approved by Bangladesh Bank. All the conditions and instructions announced in the previous circular for providing incentives will remain in effect as usual.
