A very important seminar titled "Better Poultry Health, Higher Ruminant Performance" was held at Hotel Regency and Resort in Dhaka on July 18, 2026. This event, jointly organized by Shanghai Menon Animal Nutrition Technology Co., Ltd. and Bengal Agrovet Limited, discussed important advances in animal nutrition and disease management. Industry experts, farmers and entrepreneurs came together in this discussion.
In this seminar, awards were given to some eminent individuals and groups in the poultry sector for their special contributions to the poultry sector of Bangladesh. Among them was Mr. Kazi Ekhlasul Haque, Managing Director of “Chicks & Feeds Limited”, a renowned company in the poultry sector of Bangladesh. Chicks & Feeds Limited is known as a leading service provider to provide ‘one stop solution’ to agro-based companies in Bangladesh since 2001. For a densely populated country like Bangladesh, this seminar is of utmost importance for poultry and livestock farmers, especially those involved in dairy and meat production.

The seminar featured two important technical sessions led by renowned experts. Dr. Huang Jingyu, PhD and Poultry Nutritionist, gave a presentation on ‘Salmonella Problem Management Plan: The Biggest Problem in the Poultry Industry of Bangladesh’ highlighting the important biosecurity and safety challenges. Then, Dr. Muhammad Khan, Technical Expert and Animal Nutritionist (PhD/Postdoc), gave a presentation on “Protein for High Yield and Performance of Romantic Animals discussed "Nutrition Strategies" and highlighted ways to ensure optimal utilization of feed for improved milk and meat production.
Among the key dignitaries and organizers present at the event were Darren Wang, Managing Director (South Asia, Middle East, Africa) of Shanghai Menon; Sudipto Sajal Kha, Business Manager, South Asia, Shanghai Menon; Md. Jalal Uddin, Chairman, Bengal Agrovet Limited; and Tarek Mahmud Khan, Managing Director, Bengal Agrovet Limited. Along with them, many other senior professionals, industry leaders and stakeholders from the poultry and livestock sector participated in the seminar.
