Jointly organized by Bangladesh Poultry Industries Central Council (BPICC) and U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC): 'Bangladesh Protein Cooking Challenge-2026'

The grand finale of the 'Bangladesh Protein Cooking Challenge-2026', with the aim of increasing nutrition awareness nationwide and developing healthy protein-rich eating habits in the daily diet, has been successfully concluded. The final event of this competition was held in the capital Dhaka on Saturday, September 5, 2026.
The main objective of this event was to firmly establish the right to accessible nutrition for every person as the basis for sustainable national health, physical immunity and intellectual development. One of the main objectives of this event is to overcome the traditional monotony of daily meals and make protein-rich foods more attractive and popular to everyone through creative and delicious cuisine, and to end the common misconception that additional expensive ingredients are needed for adequate nutrition and to spread the calculation of the correct protein intake according to daily physical size and needs among the general public. In addition, poultry meat, eggs and soybeans have been highlighted as the main sources of versatile, nutritious and reliable daily diet to ensure sustainable public health.
With the theme of ‘Nourish Your Plate with Protein’, the top 20 contestants qualified to participate in the grand finale after going through the fierce competition in three regional phases of Sylhet, Khulna and Dhaka. In the final round, the culinary skills of the chefs were tested through two exciting rounds, from which the judges selected the top 5 winners.
Dhaka contestant Khandaker Farzana Yasmin won the championship by displaying excellent skills in the competition. In addition, Dhaka contestant Md. Nahid Hasan became the first runner-up and Khulna contestant Md. Mirajul Islam became the second runner-up.
In the final round, Prezi Sinha Amy from Sylhet, who secured 4th place, and Dhaka contestant Farhana Akhter Nipa, who secured 5th place. Attractive prizes and trophies were given to the winners.

Director General of the Department of Livestock Md. Shahzaman Khan was present as the chief guest at the event. The event was chaired by Mr. Mashiur Rahman, Convener of Bangladesh Poultry Industries Central Council (BPICC), and U.S. Habibur Rahman, Bangladesh Market Lead of the Soybean Export Council (USSEC). The judges of the competition were internationally renowned chef and head judge Tony Khan, eminent culinary expert Rahima Sultana Rita, and renowned nutritionist and public health advisor Israt Jahan.
In his speech as the chief guest, Md. Shahzaman Khan said, “There is no substitute for protein in a balanced diet for intellectual and physical development. Poultry meat, eggs, and soybeans are the most readily available and affordable sources to meet our daily nutritional needs. Such initiatives are playing a great role in increasing nutrition awareness among the common people.”
In his speech as the president, Mr. Mashiur Rahman, convener of BPICC, said, “Our aim is to ensure safe and adequate protein for everyone. The spontaneous participation of the culinary artists in the national finals today after the regional phase is truly commendable,” and U.S. Khabibur Rahman Kanchan, Bangladesh Market Lead of the United Soybean Export Council (USSEC), said, “Soybean is an affordable and highly nutritious alternative to address nutritional and protein deficiencies. Such cooking challenges are playing a very effective role in raising awareness among the general public about the versatile uses of soybeans in cooking and the right source of nutrition.”
