Work is currently underway on the installation of a new cereal storage silo at the facilities of the Fuente de Bartolo cooperative in Menasalbas, Toledo. This project, carried out in collaboration with our client Recover Business, S.L., is part of the site’s expansion and strengthens our ongoing work with agri-food companies committed to increasing their storage capacity and improving operational efficiency.
A High-Capacity Silo with Full Safety Access
The installation features a 3.82/11 model silo with a 60° cone, standing 17.6 meters tall and offering a total capacity of 162 m³. It is built with S350GD steel and ProMag (ZM310) coating, a zinc-aluminium-magnesium alloy that delivers up to 10 times more corrosion resistance than standard galvanization, ensuring long-term durability even in demanding environments.
To ensure safe and easy access, the installation includes:
*A 1134 mm-wide catwalk with non-slip flooring and protective railings
*Ventilation chimneys with bird guards
*Chemical anchors and base plates for secure silo leg anchoring
Efficient Grain Handling with Screw Conveyors
The loading system includes a TR-300 screw conveyor, made from galvanized steel with a modular design and powered by a direct-drive gear motor. For unloading, the silo is fitted with an expansion hopper connected to two SF-200 A progressive screw conveyors (7 m and 9 m), allowing for a smooth, continuous flow of grain directly into the feed production line.
A Strategic Upgrade for Feed Production
This new silo is part of a broader effort to enhance an existing facility, boosting the cooperative’s capacity for producing compound feed. With durable construction, high-performance components, and a fully integrated material handling system, this installation supports efficient and secure storage of key raw materials like soy.
