JICA signs largest ever loan agreement with Bangladesh

Agreements have been signed for all these projects. On August 12, 2020, JICA signed Loan Agreements with the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, to provide Japanese ODA Loans of up to a total of 338,247 million Japanese Yen (approx. Bangladesh Taka 26,850 Crore) for the following seven projects: (1) Jamuna Railway Bridge Construction Project (II) (2) Hazrat Shahjalal(R.) International Airport Expansion Project (II) (3) Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project (IV) (4) Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project (Line 5 Northern Route) (5) Chattogram – Cox’sbazar Highway Improvement Project (E/S) (6) Food Value Chain Improvement Project (7) Urban Development and City Governance Project Source: Online/SZK
