Government service providers should be more sincere, transparent and accountable for their works

Last March 23, 2024, participants in an organizational public hearing said that government service providers should be more sincere, transparent and accountable in their work.

They said the service providers should follow the citizen’s charter to ensure the service rights of people.

They also said that government officials should listen to the allegations of the service receivers and try to solve their problems if find any irregularities, corruption and procrastination in the work.

The participants said at the organizational public hearing held at the conference room of the Regional Agriculture Research Station (RARS) here.

The training and Communication wing of Bangladesh Agriculture Research Institute (BARI), Gazipur, arranged the public hearing under the programme of National Integrity Strategy Work-Plann 2023-2024.


Director, BARI, Training and Communication wing, Gazipur, Dr Md Tariqul Islam was present as chief guest while Chief Scientific Officer, RARS, Jamalpur, Dr Md Manjurul Kadir presided over the function.

Among others, the Chief Scientific Officer, of BARI, Dr Shamsur Rahman, Deputy Director, of the Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE), Zakia Sultana and the Principal Scientific Officer, of BARI, Dr Md Abdul Razzak also spoke.

A total of 50 stakeholders of BARI, DAE, BINA, BADC, NGO, SRDI, bank journalists and the Farmer's community took part in the programme.
